Dear friends,

Welcome to my legislative website! I am honored to serve the residents of District 46 and look forward to working with you to improve the state of Oregon. District 46 covers parts of SE and NE Portland, including the landmark neighborhoods of Mt. Tabor, Montavilla, Laurelhurst, Foster-Powell, and Lents.

My highest priorities are to improve our public education system, make health care more accessible and affordable, and to safeguard Oregon’s environment. Since I was first elected in 2006, I have worked on these issues and others through my assignments to committees on education, health care, and the environment.

I believe the Legislature will fail in its duty to serve the public interest unless the people are involved front and center. That is why I support reforms to make our elections system more fair and to diminish the influence of money in politics. It is also why I urge you to be involved by calling my office or sending me an e-mail at rep.bencannon@state.or.us.

Also, sign up for my e-newsletter to receive occasional email updates from me. I look forward to being in touch!
