Reminder: Town Hall THIS Saturday

Dear friends,

I wanted to remind everyone of my second post-session Town Hall, this time co-hosted by Representative Jackie Dingfelder and Senator Avel Gordly, this Saturday, October 20th at 10:00am at Parkrose High School. Ask your questions and share your input as we review the 2007 session and plan for 2008 and beyond. Also, Lou Savage from the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services will deliver a briefing on the ID Theft protections that came into law on October 1.

If you have been reading the papers or even just watching TV commercials, I am sure that you have concerns about a variety of issues. From the Oregonian's coverage of the release of the Children First for Oregon report card to the Governor's plan for dealing with driver's license fraud to the special election in less than three weeks, there is a lot to talk about. We will have hot coffee and snacks and invite you to join us for what should be a rainy Saturday morning.

Event: Town Hall hosted by Representatives Ben Cannon and Jackie Dingfelder and Senator Avel Gordly

Date & Time: Saturday, October 20th, 2007 from 10:00am to noon

Location: Parkrose High School - Community Room (Street map) Park in SE parking lot on Shaver. Enter at the SE corner near the Library and head down hallway. The Community Room is on the left.

Contact: Christy Splitt, (503) 236-3351, rep.bencannon@state.or.us

Hope to see you there,

PS: I am currently pouring over the results of my end-of-session online dialogue. Thank you again for all of the thoughtful responses. While this is likely the last call for the survey, I hope as always that you will come to me with your questions and ideas. In the meantime, please click here to participate in the online dialogue reviewing the 2007 session. To review the accomplishments of the 2007 Legislative session, click here.
